Nito’s Wings will at all times be collaborative with the Marshallese communities we serve. We passionately believe that maintaining relationships with Nito’s Butterfly Foundation (our sister organization in the Marshall Islands), Marshallese medical providers, the Ministry of Health and Human Services, and community leaders will be key to the success and sustainability of our projects. Our design includes emphasis on education and training, mentorship, and procurement of priority equipment and supplies.
The Republic of the Marshall Islands has two main hospitals: one in the capital city of Majuro and another on Ebeye. There are additionally 54 active Outer Island Dispensary System medical dispensaries throughout the 29 coral atolls and 5 islands.
Due to a unique relationship with the United States known as The Compact of Free Association, Marshallese can and do freely migrate to the United States as “lawful non-immigrants.”
