COOPERATIVE GENEROSITY.

A generous, in-kind donation of coursework materials from S.T.A.B.L.E, the expertise of our volunteer educator, and the donation of Bubble Nasal CPAP’s from REACH Air Medical collaboratively contributed to saving a baby’s life just moments after this picture was taken. We are truly humbled by the involvement of our donors and volunteers that have allowed us to watch our mission become reality.

"I had never been to the Marshall Islands before my last trip there but had heard of their interest and need for better neonatal training. My goal was small, if I saw impact for one baby I was going to call it a success in my books. What I found was a group of people that showed up from all departments of the hospital and demonstrated that they want their at risk and premature babies to have better outcomes. Before the end of the trip, we had collaborated and implemented equipment that was utilized on a baby born during our training process, even before we had a chance to do a formal gifting of it. As I saw word of that baby’s improvement spread throughout the hospital and then followed cases of further use after I left, the staff there demonstrated just how amazing they are at adapting and working with their limited resources. I look forward to our next visit there this year!"

"When a little beating heart was saved on Thursday night - a night before the equipment was to be donated, yet a particular equipment needed to be used urgently to save that little girl - I was absolutely relieved, amazed, full of emotions, and grateful for all that had been done to improve the services at our hospital, and especially the pediatrics ward.
I pray that this equipment and the ongoing trainings will continue to save our little ones and prevent any other parent from losing a child."
