Saving lives sounds cliché, but it is the reality of what happens when the hearts of providers serving Marshallese communities intersect with the education and training provided by our volunteers and the donations of innovative equipment by organizations that are stewards of our mission.
Pictured: An intimate look at the first moment this mother held her baby. The baby was born in respiratory distress and was the first Marshallese placed on donated bubble nasal CPAP in the Marshall Islands. Through translation it was reported to our team that this mother had experienced multiple losses in the process of trying to have a baby. When this precious little girl was born in distress her mother hesitated to come visit until the encouragement of our team that her daughter would survive.
